Our Focus

The Instrument Middleware group of Australia is composed of three organisations: James Cook University, University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide. The focus of the group is the development and advancement of the Common Instrument Middleware Architecture (CIMA) for the benefit of the Australian scientific community. Current usages are in:

SAL

As part of DIMSIM, the Sensor Abstraction Layer (SAL) provides a coherent and consistent programming interface to access sensors and instruments regardless of their types and technology. SAL documentation is available here.
